What Was Qin's Lasting Legacy/Impact On China?
Qin has a huge lasting legacy/Impact, his many influential actions have made up a big area in China's History and background.
His big legacy/impact that stands out to me, is the values he put into his people. These have now been carried through dynasties and generations. This included in 'Good Beneficial Actions' and 'Qin's impact in his time'. He made this legacy/impact while he was alive, but it has impacted China for a very long time after his death. Qin set a high standard of ruling, many emperors after him would have to lift their game.
One of the huge things Qin left behind was the argument of if he was a good Emperor of not. A lot of people saw the past ruler (Qin), as a tyrant obsessed with immortality. Confucian historians made very negative statements about the Emperor and didnt support him. Many novels and texts were published and written about the Emperor and his faults. Historians started to assess the emperor in many different views. points and arguments ranged from The Emperor repulsing barbarians, being a tyrant and obsessed with assassination to being One of the great heroes of Chinese history. As years and years went on the world and China were back and fourth about Qin, Was he a hero or a stubborn tyrant? The world was torn, and will continue to be forever. Qin's history and story will be remembered and taught for a very, very long time. His legacy/impact is that he created a world wide debate.
